Sean McCue
Co-Founder and President
Sean McCue, President and Co-Founder of Deaton McCue and Company, is a native Delawarean who received his bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Delaware in 1978. He was first licensed as a commercial real estate agent in Delaware in 1981, and has since become licensed in three additional states. He is the broker of record for our firm, and has specialized in retail leasing and general commercial brokerage for the past 35 years. He has completed over 500 lease and sales transactions, bringing a broad range of market knowledge and experience to each.
Sean has completed transactions with Acme, Shop Rite, Home Depot, K-Mart, Staples, Happy Harry’s, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Dollar Tree, KFC and Michael Christopher; additionally, he has remained an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and The Commercial and Industrial Realty Council (CIRC).
Stephen Deaton
Co-Founder and CFO
Stephen Deaton, Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer of Deaton McCue and Company, is a native Delawarean who graduated from the University of Delaware in 1981 with a BS in Business Administration. His 35-plus year real estate career has specialized in office leasing, investment sales, asset management and general brokerage.
Mitch Berkowitz
Associate Broker
Mitch has 30-plus years of real estate experience, and is involved in all facets of the industry including office, industrial, multi-family, site acquisition and development. He is goal-driven to achieve client satisfaction, and addresses client needs with a strong knowledge of the surrounding markets. Mitch has worked with many local and national companies, and is active in many local real estate associations. He is a broker associate in Delaware and licensed in all surrounding states (PA, MD, and NJ).
Mitch resides in Newark, DE and has a degree in business and a minor in accounting.
Gary Betty

Gary M. Betty, a native Delawarean, began his Commercial Real Estate Career in 1982. He joined Deaton McCue and Company in 1993, and has served the Tri State Area for over 37 years in all facets of Commercial/Industrial Sales and Leasing with an emphasis on land sales for retail, office, industrial and residential development. Gary is one of the leading Real Estate Brokers in land sales for Deaton McCue and Company and represents numerous properties, incuding those situated in Opportunity Zones at the Wilmington Waterfront. These are key parcels of land that will shape the future of Wilmington’s Waterfront and surrounding areas. Gary is also a member of both the CIRC and the ICSC, and is a past board member of the Horizon House.
